Ausben Strongheart aka The Legendary King Aus is an Afro-Indigenous artist, educator, and traditional dancer of the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas, known for his lasting influence on Club and Street Dance culture worldwide. With a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance, he launched his career in New York City, training under the originators of Waacking and shaping a personal style that has earned international acclaim.

He has appeared on Broadway in Tarzan, Off-Broadway in Bojangles the Dance Musical, and performed in national and regional productions including Ragtime and Abyssinia at Lyric Stage, Side Show at Firehouse Theatre, and numerous works at Jubilee Theatre in Texas. His career highlights include performances at Lincoln Center, Eurovision, BAMF Canada, and an international Indigenous tour with A Tribe Called Red.

A former member of the House of Ninja and Ultra Omni, now a proud Milan, Aus has taught and performed in over 59 countries, including institutions such as NYC universities and the Scandinavian Dance Academy (Stockholm), while spreading Waacking and folkloric dance traditions across Europe and Asia. He has also collaborated with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Loreen, Madonna, Wayne Brady, and Tyra Banks, with credits spanning HBO’s Legendary Max, ABDC, Live To Dance, Nike Convention Sweden, and the History Channel.

He is the owner of Legendary King Aus LLC and the founder of the University of Waacking, an educational platform and certification program that preserves the cultural legacy of Waacking while training new generations of dancers with structure, history, and professional guidance. Through his work, Aus continues to bridge Indigenous traditions and global dance innovation, inspiring communities worldwide with the guiding belief: “If you can move with passion, then you can dance.”-K.A
